Montelino’s adventure world on the Kohlmais
Exciting mountain adventures await on the Kohlmais. Montelino the Clown accompanies the children on the Kohlmais in Saalbach. All the adventure activities are accessible via the Kohlmaisbahn cable car, even with a pushchair. The route from the mountain station to the intermediary station of the cable car leads through the forest and across alpine meadows to the various Montelino attractions in Saalbach.
The Kohlmaisbahn valley station is located in the centre of Saalbach and can be reached by bus or car. Thanks to the JOKER CARD, included in the room price for Ellmauhof guests, hikers can use the bus and the Kohlmaisbahn cable car free of charge. The mountain station is located at an altitude of 1,794 metres and offers a wonderful panorama.
Water playground
Refreshing splashing around with water pumps, wooden channels and buckets. Water is pumped up to the water wheel using numerous weirs, before being channelled back into the stream. The many play areas are great fun, even for the little ones. Also a great way to cool off on hot days.
Deer feeding
Watch deer up close and discover lots of new things about the nature in Saalbach with Montelino. Young and old can experience the feeding of red deer up close. Learn more about wild animals and their unique habitats in a playful manner at the game areas and in the oversized walk-in deer.
Montelino adventure hike
Montelino the Clown is waiting for clever kids. Unfortunately, the friendly clown has lost his smile and needs help. Equipped with a play pass, young visitors follow the owl and set off in search of Montelino’s friends and toys. The 3 km adventure trail for all generations is accessible with a pushchair.
